Mahjong Solitaire -- Lite 2.7

Mahjong solitaire is a classic matching game that replaces traditional cards with a set of Mahjong tiles. Originating in 1981 by Brodie Lockard, the computer game was initially named Mah-Jongg after its tile-matching predecessor. Lockard attributed its design to the ancient Chinese game "the Turtle." However, it was not until 1986, when Activision introduced Shanghai for the Macintosh and Apple IIgs, that this game gained widespread popularity. A variation was later featured in the Microsoft Entertainment Pack for Windows 3.x in 1990, known as Taipei, and subsequently included in the Best of Windows Entertainment Pack. Premium releases of Windows Vista and Windows 7 contained a version known as Mahjong Titans.

Reflecting the success of this game, numerous clones have emerged across various platforms. What sets our version apart? We aimed to capture the essence of the original game with 60 distinct layouts packaged into a compact download.

In Mahjong solitaire, players locate exposed pairs of identical tiles (including Flower and Seasons tiles within the same group) and eliminate them one by one, revealing underlying layers as they progress. The objective is to clear the layout by matching all tiles until none remain exposed or the entire layout is empty.
